සමාජ සවිබල ගැන්වීම සහ ආර්ථික ප්‍රතිලාභ සමාජය තුළ සාධාරණව බෙදී යාම සහතික කිරීම සඳහා රජයේ ප්‍රමුඛ වැඩසටහනක් ලෙස ක්‍රියාත්මක “ප්‍රජාශක්ති” ජාතික වැඩසටහන පිළිබඳ දිවයිනේ සියලු ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරු දැනුවත් කිරීමේ හමුවක් අරලියගහ මන්දිරයේදී ඊයේ (22) පැවැත්විණි.
ප්‍රජාශක්ති වැඩසටහන බිම් මට්ටමින් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම පිළිබඳ ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරු පුළුල් ලෙස දැනුවත් කිරීම මෙහිදී සිදු කෙරුණු අතර, රාජ්‍ය සේවයේ ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ අවශ්‍යතාව, සංවර්ධනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරුන්ගේ භූමිකාව, ප්‍රජාශක්ති වැඩසටහනේ ඩිජිටල් පද්ධති සහ අවකාශ පිළිබඳව හඳුන්වා දීම, ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික වැඩසටහනෙහි ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරුන්ගේ භූමිකාව මෙන්ම, අල්ලස් සහ දූෂණ පිටුදැකීම සහ විෂ මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තුරන් කිරීමේ 'රටම එකට' ජාතික මෙහෙයුම සඳහා ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරුන්ගේ සක්‍රීය දායකත්වය ලබා ගැනීම ආදිය පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡාවට ලක් විය.
ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය එරංග වීරරත්න මහතා අප රජයේ ප්‍රධාන බලාපොරොත්තුව තමයි, ජනතාවට කාර්යක්ෂමව, විනිවිදභාවයකින් යුක්තව වගේම සමීපව සේවා ලබා දීම. අප රාජ්‍ය ව්‍යුහය හරහා ඉහළ සිට පහළට යන තෙක්ම ඒ ඒ ස්ථරවල ඩිජිටල්කරණය විය යුතුව තිබෙනවා. ඒ අනුව තමයි, ජනතාවට අවශ්‍ය කඩිනම් සේවා ලබා දිය හැකි වන්නේ. ජිටල්කරණය කරා යන ගමනේදී ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලවලට යන වියදම අවම කර ගන්න පුළුවන්. මේ ආයතන සමඟ හොඳ සම්බන්ධතාවකින් යුක්තව වැඩ කරන්න අපට අවශ්‍යයි. මෙය ජාතික වැඩපිළිවෙළක්. එම නිසා 2026 වසරේදී මේ අවශ්‍යතා කඩිනමින් ලබා දීමට අප බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට ග්‍රාමීය සංවර්ධන, සමාජ ආරක්ෂණ හා ප්‍රජා සවිබල ගැන්වීමේ අමාත්‍ය මහාචාර්ය උපාලි පන්නිලගේ, ග්‍රාමීය සංවර්ධන, සමාජ ආරක්ෂණ සහ ප්‍රජා සවිබල ගැන්වීම් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය වසන්ත පියතිස්ස, ජනාධිපති ලේකම් ආචාර්ය නන්දික සනත් කුමානායක , මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ලේකම් ආචාර්ය හර්ෂණ සූරියප්පෙරුම මහතා, ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථිකය පිළිබඳ ජනාධිපති උපදේශක ආචාර්ය හාන්ස් විජයසූරිය ග්‍රාමීය සංවර්ධන, සමාජ ආරක්ෂණ සහ ප්‍රජා සවිබල ගැන්වීම් අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ලේකම් සම්පත් මන්ත්‍රීනායක, රාජ්‍ය පරිපාලන, පළාත් සභා සහ පළාත් පාලන අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ලේකම් එස්.

Divisional Secretaries briefed on the Government’s 2026 Development Programmes and the ‘Praja Shakthi’ Community-Driven Rural Development Approach Rs. 180 billion allocated for rural development in 2026.
A briefing session for all Divisional Secretaries across the country on the government’s flagship “Praja Shakthi” national programme, implemented to strengthen social empowerment and ensure the fair distribution of economic benefits within society, was held yesterday(22) at the Presidential Secretariat.
The session provided Divisional Secretaries with an extensive overview of the grassroots implementation of the Praja Shakthi programme. Discussions also covered the need for public sector reforms, the role of Divisional Secretaries in development, the digital systems and platforms used within the Praja Shakthi initiative, the responsibilities of Divisional Secretaries under the digital economy programme and securing their active contribution to the national “A Nation United” mission aimed at eradicating bribery, corruption, and dangerous narcotics.
Deputy Minister of the Digital Economy, Eranga Weeraratne, stated, Our government’s key expectation is to deliver services to the public efficiently, transparently, and with a sense of proximity. Each layer of the state structure must be digitized, from top to bottom. Only then can we deliver the essential services the public requires in a timely manner. Digitization will also significantly reduce the operational costs of Divisional Secretariats. We hope to work closely with your institutions. This is a national initiative, and therefore we expect to meet these requirements swiftly during 2026.
